Who controls the data

The LyricsTech site operator controls personal data processed for this service. Privacy questions and rights requests can be submitted through the contact form. The operator's complete legal and postal identity is a launch prerequisite and will be published before advertising or paid services are activated.

Data we process

We may process account details you provide, contributions and moderation history, contact or rights requests, consent choices, security logs, and aggregated service-performance data. Contact messages include your name, email address, subject and message. We store a one-way email hash for rate limiting and a one-way browser signature hash; the contact workflow does not store your raw IP address.

Audience and search measurement

Google Analytics and internal search-query measurement are enabled only after you accept audience measurement. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain denied in the current implementation. Page measurement removes URL query parameters before transmission. Search queries resembling email addresses, URLs or telephone numbers are redacted before internal logging, and anonymous measurement identifiers rotate daily. Do not enter personal information into site search.

Third-party music players

Official YouTube, Spotify or Apple Music players are not loaded automatically. If a reviewed player is available, LyricsTech first shows a neutral placeholder explaining the provider. Choosing “Load player” connects your browser directly to that provider, which may receive your IP address, browser data and its own cookies or identifiers under its terms and privacy policy.

Purposes and legal basis

We use data to operate accounts, answer requests, protect the service, measure consented usage, moderate contributions, document editorial decisions and meet legal obligations. Depending on the activity, processing is based on your consent, performance of a requested service, legitimate interests in security and service improvement, or a legal obligation.

Sharing and international processing

Data is shared only with infrastructure and consented measurement providers needed to operate the service, with a media provider after you explicitly load its player, with rights holders or authorities when lawfully required, or with another party after your instruction. Providers may process data in countries outside your own under their respective safeguards and controls.

Retention and your rights

Data is kept only for its operational, legal or evidentiary purpose. Closed contact requests are scheduled for deletion after the applicable retention period; active legal and rights matters may need longer retention. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy where applicable, and may withdraw consent at any time through Privacy choices.
